Cross Country Selects 2008 Captains

Wayne State University head cross country coach Rick Cummins has announced the selections of captains for the 2008 season. Senior All-American Rachelle Malette (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) will serve as the women's team captain, while senior Abdullah Saleh (Dearborn, Mich./Fordson) will captain the men's cross country squad. Malette Voted to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team

Wayne State junior cross country runner Rachelle Malette (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) has been named to the 2008 ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV College Division First Team for women's track and cross country. This is the third consecutive year a WSU cross country runner has earned First Team Academic All-District accolades as Jenni Culbertson was voted First Team in back-to-back years (2006 and 2007).
